Product description

SCS2900 weather-resistant silicone sealant is a neutral, single-component sealant for construction purpose, and it has low modulus. It can be extruded and used in a wide range of climatic conditions; it reacts rapidly with moisture in the air and has outstanding durability, performance and flexibility; it is resistant against natural corrosions, such as ozone, ultraviolet rays and rain.

Applications

SCS2900 weatherproof silicone sealant

1. Lap joint or Butt joint sealing in structural and non-structural glass curtain walls.
2. Sealing of retractable gaps between concrete, stone and aluminum panels.
3. It is widely used for outdoor lighting booths due to its excellent adhesion for GE lexan sheets and polycarbonate sheets.
4. Anodized, baking treatment and galvanized metal surfaces, and even ceramic products and most plastic sheets.

Colors

Eight colors are available for the packaging of SCS2900 weatherproof silicone sealant, including: white, stone grey, light grey, silver grey, dark grey, apricot white and bronze.

Storage period

It shall be stored in a dry environment, with an ambient temperature of less than 27℃ and a relative humidity of below 50%. Its storage life is either 18 months from the date of manufacture or the date mark of "use before this date" on the package, and the earlier one of the two dates shall be taken as final.

Storage

In an environment with a temperature of less than 27°C and a relative humidity of below 50%, its storage life is 18 months from the date of manufacture.

Applications

1. Single-component high-strength neutral sealant, suitable for structural assembly curtain walls conducted at the construction site or factory.
2. Mixed with GE dual-component structural sealant and insulating glass sealant, it can be used for repairing and decorating damaged components of structural curtain walls at construction sites.
3. It has excellent adhesive and bonding performance for a variety of building materials such as glasses, aluminum materials and various other metals.
4. Environment-friendly, releasing odorless and non-corrosive medium during curing.

Precautions

• First, remove dirt, oil stains, water and old fillers; if the gap is larger than 1.2*1.2cm, filler strips are required.
• Put the sealant into the caulking gun, and place the nozzle into the joint; extrude the sealant into the joint at an angle of 45°; ensure that the temperature is above 5℃.
• Level the surface within 3 to 5 minutes.
• In order to ensure complete curing, keep the sealant drying for 24 hours before exposing it to the water.
• Be careful to protect the eyes, and carry out the sealing operation in ventilated places; keep the sealant away from children.

Applications: SSG4400A+B silicone-based curtain wall structural sealant can be used for

1. Structural sealant curtain walls assembled in the factory;
2. Bonding of the substrate structure of the semi-hidden frame or the full hidden frame curtain walls;
3. Sealing between glasses
4. If a finished component of the structural curtain wall is damaged during shipping or installation, it can be repaired with a compatible GE single-component structural sealant.

Storage

In an environment with a temperature of less than 24°C and a relative humidity of below 50%, the substrate can be stored for 24 months and the curing agent can be stored for 1 year (since the date of manufacture).

Applications

Tossel 381 weather resistant silicone sealant is mainly used for sealing joints between glasses and between glass and metal that have less displacement. It can also be used for sealing non-moving joints between concretes, stones and aluminum panels, as well as for doors, windows, showrooms and common weather resistant seals.
